Avery Field Photo Poster

Avery Field is extremely well known in the world of professional photography. He was the premiere commercial photographer in Riverside for most of the first half of the twentieth century. His name was synonymous with photographic artistry and high technical quality for three generations of Riverside residents.

Field retired from business in 1952, and died in Riverside on October 31, 1955

IAHS is extremely fortunate to have recieved the gift from the Field family of 120 negatives that were taken in the Idyllwild area.

Quality reproductions of historic photos of Idyllwild, including posters of Avery Field photographs, can be purchased in the Museum Shop.
